Ping test
Measure latency, jitter and connection stability in real time.
Start the test to place your connection on the latency scale.

Compare Wi-Fi near the router, in another room and over Ethernet to isolate local delay.
Low ping and low jitter help controls feel responsive, but each game server uses a different route.
Stable latency reduces interruptions while downloads and other traffic share the connection.
Check latency together with jitter and packet loss when calls freeze or participants talk over one another.
How to read your ping test
A ping test checks how long a request takes to travel to a test endpoint and back. Lower ping usually feels more responsive, but a useful connection check also considers jitter, packet loss, Wi-Fi conditions and the destination being tested.
Repeated browser-to-server samples
Variation and failed requests
Same device, endpoint and time window
| Measure | Value | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Under 20 ms | Excellent | Highly responsive for gaming and calls |
| 20–50 ms | Good | Responsive for most online activity |
| 50–100 ms | Fair | Delay may become noticeable in games and calls |
| Over 100 ms | Poor | Investigate Wi-Fi, congestion, routing and distance |
Methodology
The checker sends 40 timed browser requests to the Internet Analysis test endpoint. It calculates average round-trip response time, variation between successful samples, failed-request percentage and a stability indicator. This is an HTTP-level latency measurement, not an operating-system ICMP ping to every game server.

Limitations
- A browser ping test does not measure the route to every game or application server.
- Server distance and routing can change the result even when the local connection is healthy.
- A short test may not capture an intermittent problem that occurs later.
- Browser request failures are an application-level loss signal, not raw ICMP packet loss.
Related questions
How can I check my ping?
Start the test and keep the tab open while it collects 40 samples. Read average ping together with jitter and failed requests, then repeat under the same conditions if the result looks unusual.
What is a good ping for gaming?
Under 20 ms to the relevant server is excellent and 20–50 ms is generally responsive. The game server route matters, and low jitter with no observed loss is also important.
How do I run a Wi-Fi ping test?
Run the same test near the router and again where you normally use Wi-Fi. Keep the device and endpoint unchanged. A worse room-level result points toward the wireless link or interference.
Is a ping speed test the same as an internet speed test?
No. Ping measures response delay in milliseconds, while a speed test measures data throughput in Mbps. A connection can have high bandwidth and still feel slow because of latency, jitter or packet loss.
