Comparison
Updates as you type. Line endings (LF / CRLF) are treated equally.
See exactly what changed
Paste text into either panel. Compare drafts, configuration files, code or logs.
Compare text with the online diff checker
Paste an original and a modified version to see added, removed and unchanged lines. Switch between unified and side-by-side views. Line numbers help locate each change; highlighted spans in paired lines help identify the changed text.
How to check differences
- Paste drafts, source code, configuration text or logs into the two panels.
- Review added and removed lines. Expand unchanged context when you need it.
- Enable Ignore extra whitespace only when leading, trailing and repeated whitespace should be treated as equivalent.
Example: compare a configuration change
If an original contains timeout: 30 and the modified version contains timeout: 60, the checker shows the first line as removed and the second as added. It compares text; it cannot decide whether a configuration or code change is correct.
Whitespace and large-document limits
LF and CRLF line endings are normalized. Whitespace mode trims each line and collapses repeated whitespace, so leave it off when indentation or spaces matter. The line comparison uses a bounded Myers diff; extensively different documents may show their changed middle section as removed and added, with matching starts and ends retained. Results initially show up to 500 rows and can be expanded.
Privacy and sharing
Comparison runs in your browser. Choosing Share creates a server-stored snapshot of the submitted text; do not share passwords, access tokens, personal information or confidential logs. Downloading a result is useful for keeping a local copy.

Does this compare PDF, Word or image files?
No. It compares pasted plain text. Extract readable text first; formatting and binary file differences are outside this tool.
Can I compare code?
Yes, as text. The checker highlights changes but does not parse, run or validate the program.
